Born in the golden age of surf and skate culture, Jimmy’z is a legendary brand that defined the laid-back, rebellious spirit of Southern California. Known for its bold graphics, innovative designs, and deep roots in the skate scene, Jimmy’z is making a much-anticipated U.S. re-launch—and we’re honored to be part of it.
At Apparel Graphics, we’re super stoked to help bring Jimmy’z back. With deep ties to skateboarding culture, this project hit close to home for us. Collaborating on a brand that shaped the identity of so many skate and surf communities was not only nostalgic—it was an opportunity to celebrate a movement we’ve lived and loved for decades.
This design features a 2-color plastisol screen print using black and lavender ink—a striking combo that gives a fresh feel to a timeless classic. The artwork showcases the iconic woody car and a bold zebra-style “Z”, both signature visuals that call back to the brand’s roots.
We dialed in the ink deposits for a soft-hand feel, keeping the print lightweight while still offering the durability and vibrancy plastisol is known for. It’s a nod to the old-school aesthetic, updated with the quality and comfort modern fans expect.
To match the boldness of the design, we went with the Gildan Hammer™ Heavyweight T-Shirt in Sport Grey. Its substantial feel and durable construction make it the perfect canvas for a relaunch rooted in authenticity. The heathered grey also provides great contrast for the black and lavender print, allowing the design to pop while staying true to the vintage vibe.
